Employee Engagement

We have to change our mindset and redefine what “engagement” means is it the set of all these Creativity , Soul, Passion , Results, Promotions, Inputs.

"Disengage your employee from Cell / Facebook / Twitter etc / Social and Electronic Media"

As per my own perception and experience the work environment is rusting employees state of mind and leaving scars on soul, passion and creativity, Workforce want some change almost everyone, They want something different something more productive and something which shows growth and shows that their  input is creating or producing results. Change in environment, Change in sitting place, Change in performance evaluation method, Change in designation is what everyone is looking for.

Most of the work force are working extra hours but still not performing as good as they can. Now we must consider all the options available to create a positive change in getting better results.

Simple Steps to increase the engagement of employees

(1) Make it compulsory for everyone to leave office premises within their duty time "No more working hours after duty time"

(2) No more Lunch or tea break while sitting in front of their system.

(3) Block twitter / Facebook in office network.

(4) E-Mails and Cell phone should be discouraged instead of cell # worker should write Landline number and instead of internal emails worker should talk to each other for most of the matters.

(5) Tasks should be assigned individually and performance should be monitored individually not as a whole or not as department.This could be a very tricky one to assign the jobs individually and still holding the team together so plan it very carefully.

(6) Continuous training's, Certifications , Appreciations and awards should be given to boost engagement.

(7) Make environment natural and healthy by keeping some space for ventilation and plants for fresh air.

(8) No business call should be made to employees after hours. 

A major study of human capital trends around the world shows that companies are struggling to engage our modern, 21st century workforce.

This is a worldwide issue. Which shows that only 13% of employees around the world are actively engaged at work, and more than twice that number are so disengaged they are likely to spread negativity to others, And all of them are from highly educated background.

"Only 6% believe their current process for managing performance is worth the time, 58% called their process “weak,” with North American companies 20% worse than the rest of the world".
